Brian D. Brown is an associate at Danielson Legal LLC and has spent seven years counseling clients on the selection, clearance, prosecution, registrability and enforcement of trademarks throughout the world, having previously practiced at Faegre Baker Daniels in Denver, Colorado, and Dunner Law in Washington, DC.
His unique background as an Examining Attorney and Senior Trademark Attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and an Interlocutory Attorney at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (“TTAB”) gives him solid insight into the trademark registration process as well as contested matters before the TTAB. Mr. Brown has spoken on numerous occasions throughout the country on various trademark, advertising and copyright law issues.
Mr. Brown also serves as an Adjunct Professor II at Arapahoe Community College in Colorado where he teaches intellectual property and administrative law. In his spare time, Mr. Brown referees adult basketball and youth volleyball and is a Volunteer Reader with the Metropolitan Washington Ear, which provides free reading services for the blind, visually impaired, and physically disabled.
Mr. Brown holds a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland at College Park. While attending law school, Mr. Brown served as a Research Assistant for Law Professor Arthur D. Austin focusing on copyright law issues.
Mr. Brown is admitted to practice law in Maryland and Colorado and is a member of the American Bar Association where he serves on the Trademarks and the Internet Committee.
